Paola Fava
After five years of experience in project management in developing countries (mhealth ICT4D included), she founded Gnucoop. Her background is both technical (Biomedical Engineering) and social (International cooperation).

Anahi Ayala Iacucci
She is a consultant in multimedia innovation for Internews Network. She focuses on the use of ICT4D, new technologies and interactive mapping systems, such as OCHA, Alliance Guinea ONG, Freedom House and the World Bank. She is also a crowdsourcing and information system specialist for the World Bank and a consultant for the Popular Engagement Policy Lab insofar as short message and mobile technology are involved. Gianluca Iazzolino
A journalist with extensive experience in Latin America, Russia, and the Middle East (especially Iran and Israel/Palestine). At the moment, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the Center of African Studies at the University of Edinburgh where he researches mobile technology adoption among Somali refugees in Kenya.

Georges L. J. Labrèche
A problem solver, entrepreneur, and the founder of the Balkan’s leading civic-tech organization: Open Data Kosovo (ODK). He holds a Bachelor degree in Engineering and a Master degree in International Relations so he constantly busies himself with ideas that merge technology, good governance, and social impact.
Not stopping short at delivering civic-tech solutions for partner organizations around the world, Georges’ team at ODK mentors Kosovo’s tech savvy youth into providing digital solutions to local governance challenges.

Alessia Messuti
She is an instructional designer with a focus on technologies for learning. From 2009, she collaborates with public and private organizations in designing educational experiences for adults. At the moment she strategizes mobile learning in developing countries for ITC-ILO and coordinates the “Mobile Workplace Learning” research project, supported by the University of Turin and the Open University of the Netherlands.

Giuliano Ramat
Founding member of a professional association known as GISMAP and gvSIG member, he is a major expert in data gathering, usage and processing in GIS environments in developing countries. For over 15 years he has worked on Geographical information systems and remote sensing, both in Italy and Northern and Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, he is the local manager of the project pertaining to Italian Development Cooperation in Afghanistan.

Simone Sala
From 2004 on, he focuses on the research and practice of applying ICT to sustainable development. He worked with universities (Columbia University, MIT IDI, UniMi, USI-Lugano), NGOs, FAO and Italian Development Cooperation in Africa, Asia, Caribbeans and Middle East.

Ron Salaj
Human rights and environmental activist. Since 2010, Ron has been leading the Digital team of UNICEF Innovations Lab Kosovo (ILK), a unit of UNICEF Kosovo, where they look across sectors and fields to identify methods, technologies, and tools that promise to advance our service to children and youth. He also co-lead Citizen Science project in Kosovo, where he is responsible for coordinating the work between different youth-led committees, partners and stakeholders from Kosovo’s civil society organization, media outlets, and institutions.
