    Digital technologies for social good

The potential of ICTs lies in their raison d’être: they are vehicles of information, tools that speed up and simplify the process of creating and sharing knowledge, by enabling people to make choices in a more conscious way and by helping them to become the driving force of the (r)evolution desired. It is not their possession that determines their impact, but the “popular” use, which has to be sustainable, indigenous, resilient and ethical.

For the world of International Aid and Development Cooperation, accepting the challenge of ICT4D and integrating new technologies for communication and information in its processes, means to embrace the ongoing change.

This training programme aims at introducing the fundamentals of the use of ICTs in fields such as health and humanitarian mapping through theoretical learning, case studies, tools.
